Amanda Owen
Amanda Owen, a consultant,
author and lecturer, has been presenting lectures and workshops since the
mid-eighties on spirituality, empowerment
and self-improvement. She began exploring the themes of receiving and
giving in the mid-nineties, working with clients and presenting lectures on this
subject. This ultimately led Amanda to create a series of seminars, courses and
workshops on the link between manifestation and receptivity. Her work has
reached a world-wide audience. She recently completed a manuscript Receive!
You Know How to Give, Now Learn How to Receive which follows the format
of her five-week Receive and Manifest course.
Amanda reaches an international audience conducting
tele-courses as well as lectures and seminars on the material of Receive!
These presentations are helping people to manifest their dreams and goals by
developing and strengthening their capacity to receive them.
Amanda’s varied professions
have a common denominator: to serve, educate and contribute.
With a BA in Psychology and as a coach, counselor and consultant, she has worked
in fields as diverse as social work, auto mechanics and celestial mechanics
(astrology). Yet, the through-thread is the same: providing support, diagnosis,
strategies, problem-solving, and tune-ups whether for cars, people or
organizations.
Amanda’s first book Lucky
Stars, (Three Rivers Press, 2001), has sold over 12,000 copies and is
currently in its third printing. Amanda wrote Lucky Stars to help
teenagers and young adults develop confidence and gain self-knowledge through
the lens of their Sun sign. Lucky Stars received excellent reviews and
praise from well-known astrologers, including Michael Lutin and Kelli Fox. It
was also lauded by Christiane Northrup, MD, bestselling author of several
books, including Mother-Daughter Wisdom:
Creating a Legacy of Emotional and Physical Health (Bantam, 2005),
and Elizabeth Lesser, co-founder of the Omega Institute and author of The
Seeker's Guide (Villard, 2000).
Amanda has been a published
writer since 1994. Her writing credits include numerous articles and website
content for the astrology market including current content for the largest
international site for astrology, www.astrology.com, and publications including
